Student Email Account Guidelines
This document outlines the guidelines for use of Armstrongs Student Email service. These guidelines have been prepared to ensure a quality computing environment at AASU.
A Student Email username and password are granted to an individual and that individual is responsible for any use of the account. Students shall take full responsibility for messages that they transmit through AASU Student Email and shall obey all guidelines and policies. Laws and rules against fraud, harassment, obscenity, and the like apply to electronic communications the same as other media.
Students are expected to follow conventional standards of ethics and etiquette in their use of Student Email. It is also expected that users will behave responsibly, ethically, and politely, even in the absence of reminders or enforcement.
Students are expected to follow these guidelines and any related University rules. Violation of these guidelines may result in suspension of computing privileges, disciplinary review and/or legal action. While not an exhaustive list, the following uses of e-mail by individuals are considered inappropriate and unacceptable at AASU:
